Soroptimist International of Chino Hills raises scholarship money for graduating high school girls and grants for women continuing their education in our community. Help us, help them and enjoy a good meal! $20 per ticket.  Your choice of Joe’s Steak, Wood Grilled Chicken or Sierra Mountain Ribs. All meals are served with mashed potatoes, green beans and your choice of soup or salad.

The City of Chino and Chino Valley YMCA present invite you to bring your pet and enjoy a tail-wagging good time. Agility Contest, Community Walk, Dog Fashion Show, Best Trick Contest, Little Dog Races, Agility Course, Pet Vendors and More! A special demonstration will be presented by Chino Police Department K-9 Unit.  All dogs attending must be on leaches and owner must sign a waiver to participate.

Spark Of Love Car Show & Toy Drive Kick-Off   Nov. 6
Classic cars, in a variety of shapes and sizes will be on display, hoping to take home a trophy as shiny as their chrome bumpers. Vendors, raffles, and live music will be on hand to entertain your whole family.  There will also be plenty of food around. The vehicle entry fee is $10, plus a $10 unwrapped toy. All toys collected during the event will be distributed locally, with the goal of keeping all donations in the City of Upland.

Let It Be the Holidays Charity Brunch Benefit   Nov. 6
Let’s kick off the Holiday season with a lovely day of shopping, raffles, the Holiday Tree Auction, our special “Surprise” raffle boxes, a special Cookie Contest and of course, a tasty brunch. Proceeds from this event benefit the families of children diagnosed with childhood cancer and other life-threatening illnesses cared for by The Let It Be Foundation.

Offer A Spark Of Love   Nov. 7-December
The Spark of Love Toy Drive collects new, unwrapped toys and sports equipment for the underserved children in the community.  Last year, toys were donated to the Upland Fire Department by the truckload. The collection of toys continues through the last week of December. Toys may be dropped off at any Upland Fire Station.

Tip-A-Cop & Tip-A-Firefighter Spark Of Love Fundraiser   Nov. 9
The Fire Department gift toys, sports equipment, and gift cards to hundreds of underserved elementary school and junior high school aged children in the City of Upland each year.  Funds raised at this special event are used to bolster the amount of gifts the department purchases, and ultimately, the number of children whose holidays are brightened.

Founders Day Community Parade   Nov. 12
The City of Rancho Cucamonga is gearing up for the City’s Birthday Celebration with the annual Founders Day Community Parade – and you’re invited! This year’s parade is themed – “Celebrating Fun & Games.” Come out to see local businesses, schools, youth groups and other organizations “Celebrate Fun & Games” and perform to wow the crowd. Other attractions throughout the morning include food vendors, crowd entertainment, and community information booths.

Upland Home for the Holidays Home Decorating Contest   Nov. 28
All entries must be received no later than Thursday, November 15th. Judging dates to be announced. This is a FREE contest.  Entry forms may be obtained at the Upland Recreation Division Office. The decorating categories include: Neighborhood (A minimum of three houses), Humorous, Lights Extravaganza and Originality.
