A Well-educated home buyer will interview a potential real estate agent when they are looking for homes for sale in Chino.  You are going to be buying or selling you to know if the Chino real estate agent is a good fit.

When you start to interview an agent avoid ones that won’t spend time with you answering your questions.  We suggest that you remain selective as this is one of the most important decisions you can make for you and your family.  You wouldn’t want to work with just some random agent you find so be diligent in your efforts to find one to work with.

It isn’t hard to find a local real estate agent and in Chino, it is relatively easy to find one.  We suggest that you initially have a phone interview and then ask for a face to face meeting.  You should hold an agent to a higher standard whether you are buying or selling a home.  A transaction of this size requires a skilled and experienced person to walk you through the process.

You might find agents that don’t like to be interviewed, so keep your questions limited to the concerns you have.  We also suggest that you do not interview agents from the same brokerage.  A top real estate agent in Chino will spend time with you but chances are they are very busy with multiple clients as well!

If you don’t know what to ask, we have provided you with 3 great questions to get the conversation started!

  1. How long have you been selling real estate in Chino? It is important to note that because an agent doesn’t have much experience, doesn’t mean they are not the right agent for you.  Typically, a new agent will be working under someone, so ask who they are working with as well.  Everyone must start somewhere, so don’t assume that they might not be the fest fit!
  1. You will want to ask about their average List-Price-To-Sales-Price Ratio? These numbers are going to mostly depend on how the market is performing.  An experienced agent should have a history of getting close or over the listing price.  A buyer’s agent should show you a history of below-asking prices.   You will want to know what part of the Inland Empire that these homes are located in.  You will want to also ask if the agent is familiar with the area you would like to buy or sell a home.  This is an important factor as well.
  1. What makes you different from other real estate agents in Chino? No agent should ever hesitate to answer this question.  However, we think you should listen very carefully!  Most agents will have similar plans, meaning they all list on listing sites like  Look for one or two things that you already haven’t heard.  Ask about an overall digital presence outside of the obvious sites.  Ask about their network of potential sellers or buyers they have already worked with.  Dig a little deeper on this question!

These are some great questions you can ask a real estate agent in Chino.  The more engaged the agent is, should tell you that this could potentially be the right agent for you!
